Barri Gotic

Barcelona
The Barri Gotic is one of Barcelona’s must beautiful district’s and provides an array of wonderful attractions. The region is situated right in the heart of Barcelona and many of its features remain. These features date as far back to Roman times like parts of the Roman Wall.

Also called the Gothic Quarter, you’ll find here narrow medival cobbled streets, 14th and 15th century tall Gothic buildings, wonderful cafes, bars and more. I think the main attraction within the Barri Gotic region is the miraculous Cathedral. It is called ‘La Seu’ and is a magnet for tourists who come to see it’s amazing architectual designs.

It contains statues, a garden, great nave, a wonderfully sculpted choir and an amazing façade and spire. Other charming attractions within the region include ‘The Town Hall’ which houses the Major’s Office and the magnificent and very popular Palau de la Generalitat which houses the Capilla de Sant Jordi.

The famous people that actually lived here include Joan Miro and Picasso. The Barri Gotic region really is amazing and you’ll be in awe with what it has to offer.
